I had wanted to capture a Panorama of the Ritter Range at a very long focal length for awhile. But I knew I was going to need some weather to add some atmosphere to the image.
Mid winter 2023, there was fog rolling up and over the San Joaquin Ridges. I drove back behind Crowley Lake to see if the opportunity to capture this image would finally present itself, and it definitely did. Not only was I blessed with the beautiful fog, but a nice rosey pink sky as well with the Minarets, Mount Ritter & Banner Peak showing off. This is a 12 shot Panorama, with each frame at an exposure time of 10 seconds and a focal length of 400mm. This is one of my top favorite images to date.
