Red Mountain is a staple between the towns of Silverton and Ouray, Colorado. Due to the extensive mining history in this area, you can technically drive to parts of these mountains. However, I'm stubborn & always strive to capture something different than the rest. I saw a notch between 2 of the taller peaks that I though I might be able to climb through. Turns out I could, but it was very loose talus/scree. The climb was well worth it though to capture this truly unique angle of some of the most vibrant terrain in the state of Colorado.
