This was the same evening as my other image in the Mojave Desert, "Golden Hour - Kelso Dunes". 

We somehow got lucky and had rain showers around all afternoon, but never had a drop of rain on us. The light poking through at golden hour with the remaining showers passing by to the north created an incredibly dramatic scene, one I have yet to see again.
