The spring following The Great Winter Of 2023 was a neat one. While Lupines are not uncommon here, they were blooming in much larger quantities than normal. I came across this wash that actually had water flowing down it in the morning, with Lone Pine Peak & Mount Whitney showing off their beauty behind. Creek flows are generally highest in the morning, as the snowmelt from the previous afternoons melt typically does not make it down there until then. 

I've photographed in this area more times than I could count, and this undoubtfully took the cake for the most beautiful scene of Mount Whitney specifically that I've photographed here.
