A vibrant winter sunset in Long Valley, Mammoth Lakes, California. I have photographed these lakes in the winter before, but a mid winter warm spell opened the water back up briefly. I found this ice on the edge of the lake that closely some of the salt you'd see in places like Death Valley. Overall, this was one of the most unique compositions I've found in this area.
