Mount Tamalpais is a geographically unique area. It sits 2,500 feet above sea level, and it just a couple short miles from the ocean. 

Due to its location, it is no stranger to poking out above the thick spring & summer fog, and often times, it comes with its own beauty. 
 
On this night, there was also a thick band of higher level clouds above the fog. Several minutes before sundown, the sun re-introduced itself at the perfect time, creating a beautiful splash of color and the perfect amount of contrast to the scene. I remember how ecstatic I was as I clicked the shutter at this moment. Many locals mentioned how lucky i was, since usually, the sky above the fog is often clear.
