The transverse range of Southern California are often overlooked. In my opinion, they fall far behind other ranges, but under the right conditions, it can really shine.
I captured this in February, 2019. I was on my way home from Yosemite Valley following a very low elevation snowfall (by California standards). As I approched the Grapevine, I was surprised to see the snow still halfway down the mountains. I spent a bit driving around and came across this field of cows roaming happily below the Green Hills and snow. It added the perfect element to make this image complete. To this day, I still haven't seen anything quite like this green & snow combination.
